A bansuri is an indian bamboo flute made from a single piece of bamboo and a cork. It usually has six finger holes and one blowing hole. It may be one of the oldest instruments and is characterized by its sweet, melodious, and meditative quality.
I'm a total beginner, which flute should I buy?
G scale is the flute generally recommended to start with. It’s a flute with great balance yet not too big for the hands to grip. If you have slightly smaller hands we recommend you to go with A scale.
What shall I look for when buying a bansuri?
There is only ONE quality which, if not there, makes the flute useless. Tuning. On bansuri.shop tuning is the number one priority and then the other qualities follow - Tonal Quality, Playability, Material and Esthetics.
