These stands have been made by a woodworker (and good friend of mine) in Auroville, India. They are made by a local heavy wood called Kalimaruthu in tamil and Indian Laurel in english. The weight feels great in the hand and creates a stable stand. This is a simple yet very practical design, that makes it possible to easily bring it with you, whether you're going abroad or simply outside. Simply take it apart and keep it in your bag! The X-stand will carry your flute gracefully and keep it from touching the ground or rolling off a table. Each stand are handmade and unique. They have a natural look and feel to them. They are made of 100% hardwood and are easily attachable/detachable.
This stand can either be used as a travel stand or to display your beautiful flute in your house.
